You may be an engineering student at the beginning of your career, or you may have been an engineer for a while. Either way, you can do many wonderful things with your engineering background, including becoming a patent lawyer.

People with technical degrees are highly sought after by law firms, and are generally well-compensated when they become patent attorneys. As a patent lawyer, you could prosecute patents and help inventors develop valuable patent portfolios. Or you could become a patent litigator and help inventors protect their inventions by representing them in cases where others have infringed on their patents. So if you have an interest in law, you might consider a career as a patent lawyer, a rewarding and challenging profession.
