Not
everyone is cut out to be an engineer. Engineering
is a profession on a par with business, law and
medicine. They each require a substantial amount
of technical training as well as the personal
drive and commitment to realize one's goals. But
for those who are up to the challenge, the undertaking
of an engineering education is as rewarding as
it is useful. While an engineering degree is a
natural prelude to an engineering career, it can
also open doors into numerous other technical
and non-technical fields, as mentioned earlier.
In the end, all engineers and engineering students
share a common motivation: the passion to build
a better world. And the means to do it!
